The iMessages stored on our phones are as important as all other files. They may contain important information, memories, work related data and so on. But what happens when you delete them by mistake? Or what happens if your iPhone gets damaged or lost? There are a few ways to recover iMessages, even if you can’t find them on your iPhone anymore.
If you make a habit out of backing up your data and syncing your iPhone to iTunes, then you have nothing to worry about. iTunes creates a copy of your data every time you’re syncing your iPhone, and it saves the file on your computer’s hard drive, so that you can use it for future restores or to extract files, such as iMessages.
Apple only lets iPhone owners to use these backup files by restoring them to the device, for security reasons. It can even be restored on a completely new iPhone, which can be filled with the data that you had on your old device. The tricky part is that if you only want to extract iMessages from an iTunes backup, you won’t be able to. Extracting individual files is not an option because retrieving data from iTunes backup files involves overwriting all of your current data with what is contained in the backup file.
The Only Option to Extract iMessages from iTunes Backup
