Recover Deleted Contacts straight from iPhone
Step 1 – Launch Enigma Recovery
Download Enigma Recovery from this site and launch the software on your desktop computer or laptop.
Step 2 – Connect iPhone to software
Connect your iPhone to the software with a USB cable. An alert may popup on your iPhone during this process asking if you trust the computer with your device. Tap ‘Trust’ if you are happy to continue.
Step 3 – Scan iPhone for Contacts
You will now be able to select a data type to scan the device for. Select ‘Contacts’ and move forward with the scan. The length of the scan will depend upon how much data is on your device and how many data types you are scanning for.
Step 4 – View deleted contacts
You can view all the recovered contacts once the scan has finished. Click onto the ‘Contacts’ tab to view all recovered contacts. You will need the full, unlocked version of Enigma Recovery to view all recovered data.
Step 5 – Save contact info
You can save all data that has been recovered if you have the unlocked version of Enigma Recovery. To complete this task, use the Export & Restore option. ‘Export & Restore’ > ‘Export to desktop’ > Select location ‘Browse’ > ‘Export’.
Restore Deleted Contacts through iCloud rewrite
To regain lost contacts by restoring in iCloud follow the steps below. This tutorial will rewrite old numbers in your Contacts app.Step 1 – Visit to iCloud.com
Using your USB cable, connect the iPhone to your computer or laptop.Step 2 – Visit contacts app
Click onto the Contacts app that appears to see whether the deleted contacts you are looking for can be found here. If they are here this means that the contacts that you have lost were backed up during your last iCloud backup, proceed with this tutorial if this is the case.Step 3 – Open Settings and turn off Contacts
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Turn off Contacts > Keep on My iPhoneStep 4 – Turn on Contacts
Now turn on Contacts again and select the Merge option. The entire contacts list from iCloud will now overwrite your current iPhone contacts list. If you have created any contacts since your last iCloud backup, they will be overwritten so you will need to add these again.
Restore Deleted Contacts through iTunes backup
You can also restore deleted contacts to your iPhone by restoring an older iTunes backup. If you backed up your phone to iTunes before your contacts were deleted, they will still be available in this backup on your computer. This process however, will overwrite any new data that mad been made or received to your iPhone.Step 1 – Open iTunes on your laptop or computer
Grab your laptop or computer and open iTunes on your desktop.Step 2 – Connect iPhone to laptop or computer
Connect the iPhone to your Mac or PC using a USB cable. Now wait for iTunes to recognise your device.Step 3 – Find ‘Restore backup’
Once iTunes has recognised your phone, find the ‘Restore Backup’ option. You will be able to see the date of your last backup under the ‘Latest Backup’ section. This process will restore your iPhone with all of the data from this backup. Any data made since your last backup will be overwritten.Step 4 – Keep device connected
Make sure your device stays connected to the computer during the process. After the device restarts itself, it will re-sync with the computer. After this it is safe to disconnect.
