How to Recover Deleted Safari Internet History on iPhone

Accidentally deleted Safari browsing history on your iPhone? Read our guide to find out how you can recover your internet history.

Tablet and mobile web browsing have now far surpassed desktop computer and laptop internet use. This means that for all iPhone and iPad users, Safari may hold all your browsing history, especially as it is the default browser on iOS devices. If you’re struggling to find a website you have previously visited, or maybe even quite a few websites, read on to find out how to recover deleted Safari internet history from your iPhone.

To view your Safari browsing history on your phone (provided you haven’t deleted it!), tap on the ‘Bookmark’ icon at the bottom of an open Safari window. Your browsing history will be listed under the clock icon.

Once you have cleared your Safari history, however, you will need to use additional tools to recover this data. It is possible to recover internet history with iTunes and iCloud alone, however, this requires you to have a backup of your device. In addition to this, if you choose to restore data, you will lose any new data that has been added to your iPhone since your last backup. To avoid additional data loss and the need for a full device restore or if you don’t have a backup file available, a third-party software like Enigma Recovery, can be a lifesaver.
