How to Retrieve Deleted Text Messages on iPad

With Enigma Recovery software you can recover iPad text messages

When smartphones took over the mobile phone market, text messaging established itself as the most popular mode of communication. With no character limits and larger inboxes, it quickly became the preferred alternative to voice calls; by having the distinct advantage of recorded conversations (that could stretch back years!). This eventually encouraged Apple to allow users to sync their iPhones with iPads in order to send and receive text messages from a tablet.

It’s for this reason that text messages are perhaps one of the most valued forms of data stored on a smartphone or tablet, and the idea of suddenly losing important messages can be very distressing.

It’s not the type of crisis a user would pro-actively anticipate, but the threat is very real and can happen in a number of ways:

  • Accidental / manual deletion
  • Failed backup
  • Failed software update
  • Broken or damaged device

When such an incident occurs, it would be normal to think the data is fully wiped and non-recoverable. But unbeknown to most users, lost text messages can actually be retrieved.

Enigma Recovery is a specialist data recovery software designed to help locate and regain data from a variety of devices – smartphones, hard-drives, USB sticks and, of course, tablets. And Text messages are one of the main forms of data it helps rescue.

How to Recover Text Messages From Your iPad

Text messaging has become one of the most popular methods of communicating on an iPad. Quick, convenient and inexpensive, users can find themselves sending and receiving endless amounts of messages on any given day. This leads to a huge archive of conversations – many containing valuable bits of information – being stored on the device.

So what happens in the event of a faulty iOS backup or an accidental tap of the thumb, resulting in the unexpected loss of messages? Is it possible to regain that content? The short answer is, yes, there are many software packages that can attempt data recovery from an iPad. However, not all recovery solutions for your tablet are guaranteed to be safe. If the software isn’t built properly and doesn’t correctly sync with the device’s operating system, there’s risk of losing more data.

Enigma Recovery – a unique data recovery solution – is a software that is designed specifically to handle smartphones and tablets (as well as a variety of other storage devices). It works on both Windows and Mac computers, and can handle almost any file type on an iPad – in particular text messages. It works by scanning the internal memory of your iPad and locating the missing files paths of deleted content, before reconstructing the files and presenting back in a readable format.
